                         Rules for forming plurals

Rule – 1 To make plural add s/es to nouns having consonant as the end letter.

Rule – 2 To make plural add s/es to those nouns who ends with -s, -ss, -sh, -ch, -x & -z.

Rule – 3 The nouns having “Y” as the end letter, to make plural, convert “Y” into ”i” and then add es.

Rule – 4 The nouns having “Y” as the end letter and any Vowel before “Y”, to make plural add -s.

Rule – 5 The nouns having “O” as the end letter and any Consonant before “O”, to make plural add -es.

Rule – 6 The nouns having “double vowel” as the end letter to make plural add -s.

Rule – 7 If the nouns have “f/fe” as the end letter make plural convert “f/fe”  into ” v” and then add es.
